Novos Passat e Beetle estarão no Super Bowl

A Volkswagen apresentará no próximo domingo, durante a realização do Super Bowl - partida final e ponto mais alto da temporada do futebol americano -, dois importantes modelos novos para o mercado estadunidense. Especialmente para a ocasião, foram produzidos dois comerciais, apresentando a nova versão do Passat e a silhueta do novo Beetle, antes de seu lançamento oficial. Mais de 100 milhões de espectadores devem assistir ao jogo entre as equipes do Green Bay Packers e do Pittsburgh Steelers.

"O Super Bowl é um dos eventos televisivos com maior número de espectadores em todo o mundo. Queremos aproveitar esta oportunidade para apresentar nossos modelos mais recentes para uma ampla audiência e implementar ainda mais as emoções provocadas pela marca Volkswagen", explica Luca de Meo, dirigente de Marketing do Grupo Volkswagen e da Volkswagen Passenger Cars.

Como já ocorreu em novembro do ano passado, durante o Oprah Winfrey Show, o novo Beetle aparece no comercial, denominado "Black Beetle" (O Besouro Negro), apenas na forma de uma silhueta. Durante o filme, num mundo de fantasia, um besouro participa de uma corrida com outros "insetos". A associação com perseguições automobilísticas presentes em filmes e séries televisivas não é acidental. No final, o besouro chega em primeiro lugar à linha de chegada e sua silhueta se transforma na do novo Beetle.


O segundo comercial estabelece uma ligação com o legendário "Guerra nas Estrelas", filme de George Lucas. Tendo como música de fundo a "Marcha Imperial", de John Williams, o comercial mostra um menino vestindo o traje do vilão da história, Darth Vader. Ele está treinando suas habilidades em artes marciais no Passat estacionado na entrada da garagem da casa de seus pais e se surpreende com a aparente reação do automóvel.



"Há muito poucas ocasiões em que comerciais na televisão conseguem atrair tanta atenção como no Super Bowl. A originalidade de nossos comerciais vai ajudar a fazer deste jogo uma experiência televisiva inesquecível", afirma de Meo, comentando a importância dos anúncios. A Volkswagen se destacou na edição do Super Bowl de 2010 com o comercial "Punch dub", inspirado numa popular brincadeira infantil. Produzido com a participação do astro da música Steve Wonder, o filme fez um enorme sucesso. Imediatamente após a partida, a Volkswagen ganhou 50 mil novos fãs no Facebook e um milhão de pessoas assistiram ao comercial na Internet.

As atividades no Super Bowl deste ano fazem parte de uma ampla campanha de preparação para o lançamento dos novos Passat e Beetle nos Estados Unidos. Ela também inclui a divulgação no canal principal do YouTube no dia seguinte ao jogo. Além da utilização de várias formas de mídias sociais, estão previstas outras ações na televisão, no show de Oprah Winfrey, nas finais dos campeonatos de basquete da NBA e da liga de futebol americano (NFL).

Gol Vintage a edição especial da Volkswagen

A Volkswagen apresentou (dia 04/02/11) a série especial do Gol denominada Vintage, que foi apresentada na comemoração dos 30 anos do Gol.

A série é limitadíssima, com apenas 30 unidades disponíveis, e um precinho bem salgado, R$ 52.180. Porem ele vem com todos os opcionais disponíveis para o Gol Power, e ainda uma pintura diferenciada em branco com faixas pretas. O motor não sofreu modificações continua o 1.6, de 104 cv abastecido com etanol e 101 cv abastecido com gasolina.

No interior os bancos são em couro preto e branco combinado com a pintura externa. Os acabamentos do painel tais como maçanetas, saídas de ar e manopla de cambio também são na cor branca.

O carro foi desenvolvido em parceria com a fabricante de instrumentos Tagima, e com essa parceria vem uma guitarra Tagima Stratocaster nas cores do Gol Vintage e ainda um amplificador no porta malas.

Top Cars Launches Expected In India In 2011

Year 2010 has been a very eventful year where Car and Bike Launches are concerned. Recently we covered – 94 Top Indian Car & Bike Launches Of Year 2010 on Car Blog India. Honda has unveiled its new small car, based on the Honda Small Car Concept displayed at Auto Expo 2010 in Delhi, India. The car is named Honda Brio and has been launched at the Thai Auto Show in Thailand. Brio will be a car which will be placed below the only hatchback at present in India from Honda, the Honda Jazz. Honda Brio is a compact hatchback from Honda with modern looks and design. The Brio launched in Thailand is a 4 door variant and not the 2 door as the concept vehicle. The styling is neat neat and sharp. Grille is compact and gives it a pointed look from front with two beautiful crystal headlamps. The car has been launched in Thailand as of now and will come to India about one year later. The assembly of the Brio in India will take place at the Greater Noida plant of Honda SIEL.

Volkswagen Amarok é eleita a “Melhor Pick-up”

A Volkswagen Amarok foi eleita a “Melhor Pick-Up” do ano no prêmio “O Melhor de Auto Press 2011”. A cerimônia de premiação foi promovida hoje pela Agência Auto Press, em um tradicional restaurante da Zona Sul do Rio de Janeiro. Lançada mundialmente em 2010, a Amarok tornou-se referência no segmento por estabelecer novos parâmetros de tecnologia e segurança.

Os vencedores foram definidos por mais de 60 editores de automóveis de jornais e portais de todo o Brasil que assinam os serviços da agência Auto Press. Todos jornalistas votantes tiveram de justificar as escolhas ao invés de simplesmente votar no modelo preferido.
